Publishing guide

From generated header to live Geeklist

Eight small steps for guest hosts, updated May 2026 by @DrHenryArmitage.

    Create a new Geeklist

    On BoardGameGeek, go to Geeklists and choose “Create new.”

    Generate the header

    Complete the Header Generator and copy the raw BGG code.

  3. 3
    Review the monthly details

    Before publishing, confirm the month, theme, playing Geeklist, entry count, and previous crafting Geeklist.

    • Current month and year
    • Theme title and explanation
    • PnP playing Geeklist ID
    • Last month’s count and Geeklist ID
  4. 4
    Publish the Geeklist

    Choose “Continue to add items,” then publish. No items are required.

  5. 5
    Copy the new ID

    Save the Geeklist ID from the URL or confirmation page.

    Announce it to subscribers

    Reply to subscription thread #482943 with the new link.

  7. 7
    Notify last month’s list

    Add a comment to the previous crafting Geeklist announcing the new one.

  8. 8
    Notify the playing list

    Add the announcement to this month’s PnP Games On Your Table Geeklist.
